At Greater Newcastle Removals, we have 2 men at all moves (sometimes 3 in local removal cases when requested/necessary). The team do all the heavy lifting and moving.
The customer just needs to make sure everything is ready to go – beds dismantled, any furniture that can be flat packed pulled down, fridges and washing machines unplugged.
If the customer does not have the right tools or time to do this they can request a dismantling/reassembling service and the team do all the dismantling of their furniture required to be dismantled and then reassemble at their new home.
It is best to remove ALL items from drawers and cupboards as drawers and cupboards were not designed to be moved with objects in them and unfortunately can be damaged during the moving process due to the weight and items inside.
We suggest that all items be taken out and packed into boxes to ensure that drawers and shelves do not sustain any damage.
It’s best to stick with proper removals cartons, as they are designed for moving house hold items.
- Supermarket boxes and foam boxes tend to break and buckle with the weight as they were designed to transport the items stated on their box.
- Plastic tubs are stacked on top so the weight goes directly onto their lids due to their design on being able to stack them and therefore the lids tend to break which makes them unstable during transport.
